Home again

It is Saturday and I was discharged this afternoon. I'm not putting much faith in how long I'll be out of the hospital because my best guess says I still have an Ileus. I've been home here working around the house, doing laundry, anything I can to get these bowels in gear! I'm very bloated and still feel distended--although I have good bowel sounds. I can't decide. The pieces don't match up...but time will tell and it won't take too long here this evening. I DO NOT WANT TO go back into the hospital! I hated it! I'll try to keep the blog updated on the poop scoop!

Many thanks to everyone who has emailed or called. Your support is terrific!
Naptime....

Little did I know...

I started the blog on Tuesday and late Tuesday night into Wed. morning, I developed a paralytic ileus "Ileus" for short. When I went to bed Tuesday, I felt bloated, full, and round. I was complaining of heartburn. Then at about 4am, I started vomiting. Bobby called the doctor and we headed in to the ER. I was in a lot of pain but knew it was an Ileus. The ER finally figured it out too at 1130 that morning and I was re-admitted. The process was slow and angering. The hospital's admission process was horrible but I guess that is how they do it these days. Finally at about 5PM, I was in my room and off of that ER stretcher! After 9 IV sticks they finally got a good IV. I was exhausted and in pain. To be continued...

Starting in the Middle (of the beginning)

Welcome to Donna's Blog. I didn' t want to take away from Bobby's Infobytes by whining about myself . But, now I can whine and post pictures in my own space--about MY very OWN misery!

So, if you want to check up on Bobby's current events you could visit him at www.bobbyharsh.blogspot.com and from there, there are links to Donna's Pages, Lindsey's Pages, and Julie's Pages. I'll start a Dan page also. It will consist of his latest XBox events. We'll work on that as it may be interesting to cover.

So, with this as the introduction, I'll go back to the beginning and then catch up from last week & the surgery...and up to now.
